I mean, North America has the richest soils and the most reliable climate of virtually any continent and so I really wanted to look at how life proceeds under those very different fundamental conditions. The Eternal Frontier is the flip side of the coin. So that's the story I was trying to tell there. ![]() ![]() The Future Eaters is really the story about the way life proceeds in places where there are very limited nutrients and where climate is highly variable and that really characterises Australia.
